This place was surprisingly affordable, and the food was delicious. Everything came out pretty quickly, and the portions were great for the price. My only complaint is that I wish there were more broth flavors to choose from since the only difference is the protein. Also, the tofu in the soup reminded me of Filipino sago because of its texture, which was unexpected. Overall, I’d definitely come back.

BCD Tofu House in Irvine delivers a warm, comforting lunch experience built around its signature soft tofu stews and classic Korean flavors. The food arrives quickly and steaming hot, with the tofu soups offering a satisfying balance of richness and spice. Side dishes add variety and texture, and the overall meal feels hearty without being overwhelming. The restaurant maintains a steady flow of guests, creating a lively but manageable atmosphere that fits well with the casual dining style. Service is efficient, and the staff keeps things moving smoothly even during the lunch rush, which helps the meal feel consistent and timely. However, a few operational details keep the experience from reaching a perfect score. Vegetarian options exist but require extra clarification because several dishes use seafood or beef‑based broths even when labeled as vegetable, making it important to double‑check ingredients. Wrong orders happen more often than expected — dishes arriving with the wrong protein, spice level, or side combinations — and while the staff corrects them, the interruptions affect the flow of the meal. Payment can also be slightly confusing at times, with occasional mis‑keyed to

Normally the service is good , but today they did not come to refill the side dishes as they normally do without asking. I have came here when the restaurant start their business. The food has been consistent.

My favorite Korean spot around Irvine, I’ve been here multiple times and it never disappoints. It’s usually pretty crowded, both on weekdays and weekends, so expect a short wait. I absolutely love their soon tofu. They offer different spice levels, which is great. I usually go for spicy, but last week I tried the “danger” level - if you can handle high spice, it’s definitely worth it. My daughter always orders the seafood soon tofu (medium spice) and loves it every time. The kimchi and side dishes they serve when you’re seated are amazing, great variety and full of flavor. I always order the crispy garlic tofu bites. Unfortunately, this time it was a bit of a disappointment since it lacked the usual garlic flavor. I haven’t explored much of the bibimbap side of the menu yet, but I’ll definitely be going back again and again.

A Must-Try Spot for Korean Comfort Food ✨ My husband decided to have me try something new today, and I’m so glad he did! He’s been here multiple times and absolutely loves it so this time, it was my turn to see what all the hype was about. As soon as we arrived, there was a line out the door (always a good sign!), but the wait moved quickly thanks to their digital sign-in pad. Just note they don’t take reservations, so you’ll want to show up in person. The moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something good. The place was buzzing with energy and smelled incredible. The variety of banchan (Korean side dishes) was so fun to explore from their crisp cucumber salad to flavorful kimchi and even a deep-fried fish that was surprisingly good. They also had fish cakes that were delicious and a cold mashed potato salad with raisins that was... interesting. Not my favorite since I usually prefer my mashed potatoes hot and savory, but I appreciated the creativity! For my meal, I ordered the Teriyaki Combo with mild tofu soup, while my husband went for the Bulgogi Combo with “Danger” spice level. The tofu soup was comforting and flavorful, and I really enjoyed the texture of the tofu itself
